Hi my name is James. I am a graduate of Full Sail University’s Computer Animation program, Daytona State College and the Defense Information School in Maryland. Between these educational experiences I've honed both a 3D and 2D skillset. I've been creating digital artwork for around 15 years. Within the last 9 yrs. I've been working as a developer in the gaming industry. I have been on development teams working on projects for Universal, Electronic Arts, Activision, THQ, Disney/Pixar, Codemasters and Majesco. My most recent game credits are Sword Coast Legends (PS4), Jaws : Ultimate Predator (3DS), Hot Wheels: Track Attack for Wii and DS, Need for Speed: Undercover, Need for Speed: Nitro (Nintendo DS), SpongeBob Boat Bash (Nintendo DS), Cars 2 (Nintendo DS). I've also worked on mobile games for the bands Train, Panic! at the Disco and Sia.
I currently work for NASA at Marshall Space Flight Center developing web content and web games. Unity is the tool of choice for development, coupled with Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop and 3ds Max. The games listed have been deployed on a variety of platforms but most of my work experience has been with handheld and mobile platforms.

The digital pieces were either created as vector artwork in Illustrator or as pixel-based paintings in Photoshop.

I have been teaching Unity development on YouTube for almost 12 years having established the channel in 2007. I started by teaching modeling and texturing fundamentals in Maya, but in the years since have moved on to Unity scripting using C#. Most of the videos include Unity source project download links in video descriptions.
